Welcome to Class 2DF
Your class teachers are Mrs Davies and Miss Forbes.
Hannah, Megan and Kayleigh will be working with us this year.
PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays
We are looking forward to another exciting half term on the run up to the Christmas season!
In Literacy/History we will be researching and learning about and comparing explorers such as Christopher Columbus. We will also be reading the book 'The Bear and the Piano' by David Litchfield as this is about a journey.
In Numeracy we will be continuing with addition and subtraction word problems. Then we will focus on measures, graphs and multiplication and divisions.
In History we will find out about significant individuals and events such as the Gun Powder Plot and Remembrance Sunday.
In Science we will be learning about animals including humans. (That humans and animals have offspring and what humans/ animals need in order to survive.)
In Religious Education the children will learn about some important festivals and celebrations such as Diwali and Christmas.
Please continue to hear your child read each night. Your child has online homework set each week on Ed Shed (spellings) and Numbots (Maths) too. Your child recently bought home two GCP books to work through at their own pace. Please let us know once these books are complete and we can celebrate their achievements in class.
