Children should wear their PE kit to school on PE days.

Welcome back to another exciting school year!

We are looking forward to meeting the new year 2 children and settling back into school life after the lovely Summer holidays!

In Literacy, we will be focusing on making sentences using capital letters and full stops. We will then move into reading:  

     'Little Red Riding Hood '(retelling of the story)

     'The Dragon Machine'  (character description)

Numeracy:

     Place value to 100 

     Addition and subtraction

Science: 

     Living things and habitats 

R.E: 

     How and why do we celebrate special and sacred times?

Art: 

     Drawing techniques 

PHSE:

     New beginnings 

Geography: 

     Would you prefer to live in a hot or cold place?

We look forward to meeting the children again and having a fun,
successful year of learning!

Homework: Please read with your child each night and talk about what they have read. Make predictions about what might happen next.

'Spelling Shed' and 'Numbots'  homework will be set over the first few weeks and we will send a letter home with instructions once the children have settled in. (Logins will be in the front of their reading records.)
