The Westborough School is part of the South East Essex Academy Trust, a close-knit family of nine schools.
SEEAT was incorporated in February 2011, the founding school being Westcliff High School for Girls.
At SEEAT, we know that every school is different so we make sure each school retains its individuality and distinctive local identity. However, we work as a team for the good of our pupils.
Our trust provides a strong, protective structure. The Headteachers of our schools know they are never alone.
Effective collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that adults can learn and develop so that our children get the best possible education. It has resulted in better outcomes - our schools are continuously improving, and all are rated good or outstanding by Ofsted.
We enjoy contributing to the local educational community, rather than being in competition with other schools and academy trusts. That's why many staff from other local schools join our communities, networks, leadership programmes and conferences.
Like any other state school, our schools are free to attend, we’re inspected in the same way, and children take the same tests and exams.
Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) are education charities that run schools to give children a better future. They are not businesses – nor are they run by ‘private’ people. Sponsors, Trustees and/or Members cannot make profits.
The Trust Leader of SEEAT is Andrew Cooper, an education veteran with a strong track record of raising standards in schools for 36 years.
We believe we have created something quite special at SEEAT.
