1st half of the Spring Term 2022
Hello everyone. Welcome back! We hope that you've had a great break and are ready for new learning.
This half term -
In Literacy we will be learning to write formal and informal letters, newspaper reports, and non-chronological-reports based on the book Shackelton’s Journey.
In Maths we will be getting busy with fractions.
In Science we will learn about electricity.
In Art and DT we will be learning to draw and paint Antarctic animals.
In RE we will be getting to know about different religions pilgrimages.
In History we will be learning about the Explorer Sir Ernest Shackelton.
In Oracy we will be improving our learning and listening skills when learning how to hold group discussion.
In French we will be learning all about me.
In PSHE we will be learning about the importance of respect for one another.
This term we are reading for our class book ‘Odd and the Frost Giants’ by Neil Gaiman.
Could you please ensure your child is reading every day for at least 30 mins. Below is the recommended reading list for year 4. Our class book for this half term is How to train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell.
